Snorkeling

Lovers of the underwater world can delight in snorkelling in Maracajaú, approximately ninety minutes drive from Natal. This village has a beautiful coral reef on its coastline that almost dries out at low tide, so that tropical fish are ‘prisoners’ in crystal clear, natural pools. And that’s where you can dive with snorkel and goggles to enjoy the stunning variety of colours of coral and fish. Naturally, you have to travel by speedboat the 7 kilometres from the coast to the diving platforms, but you will hardly find that a burden. You will spend approximately ninety minutes on the platforms and in the water before returning to the beach of Maracajaú, where you will have to sunbathe, swim or lunch (not included) before the return journey. This excursion obviously depends on the tides, so that the time the boat departs will only be made known when the excursion is booked.
