Are you adventurous? Then this excursion is an excellent opportunity to discover the original inland of the state of Rio Grande do Norte.
The bus will collect you from your hotel in the morning to go to Passa e Fica, literally meaning drop by and stay, where you will go on a hike of roughly 1 ½ hours through a rock formation with caves and old rock drawings.
During this walk you will be told about various types of plants and flowers, which the local population still use for medicinal purposes.
After this impressive journey the local guide invites you to enjoy a typical lunch at his home. After lunch, you will leave in the direction of the town of Goianinha for Fazenda Jardim. There you will find out how sugar cane is processed into alcohol, which is used as fuel and how the cachaça is made, the typical Brazilian drink. Naturally you will also have the opportunity to try it. You will also be explained how the shrimp farm is run. Before starting your journey back to Natal, the lady of the house will offer you a number of delicious homemade cakes with fresh juice and coffee. On the way back to your hotel you will have the chance to let your impressions sink in or discuss your experiences with your travelling partners.
