A 2-day trip Praia da Pipa

To relax but also learn as much as possible about the beautiful area south of Natal, you should take our 2-day excursion to the artists’ village of Praia da Pipa, where you will spend the evening and sleep overnight. The following morning you will be collected from your hotel by buggy to begin a fascinating drive down an exotic coats road through seaside villages with names like Cotovelo, Buzios and Tabatainga, where, with a bit of luck, you will see your first dolphin. You will also visit the village of Pirangi, home – according to the Guinness Book of Records – to the biggest cashew nut tree in the world. This monster tree covering almost 10,000 square metres has spread over virtually the entire former village square – try fitting it all in a photo! Having failed, you leave Pirangi for the last bit of journey by buggy over the undeveloped beach to the lagoon of Pipa´s neighbouring village Tibau do Sul. You will be ferried over the lagoon in a traditional boat but keep a close look out on the way for schools of dolphins in the area. At the other side, having checked into your hotel, the afternoon is taken with a walk through the rain forest. This protected natural area leads to the most beautiful beach in the area, Praia do Madeiro, reached by steps. Here is your third opportunity to spot dolphins because it is here that they have their own kind of natural dolphinarium. The chance of success is 100%! After so much beautiful scenery the evening is free for you to enjoy the trendy but relaxing village of Praia da Pipa with its many superb restaurants, friendly cocktail bars and great souvenir shops. The next morning there is a wonderful sea journey on an original Brazilian schooner planned, from where you see Pipa from a different angle including the famous Praia do Amor with its beautiful red sandstone dunes, the falesias. The whole coast appears as a panorama before your eyes before the boat anchors at Praia do Madeiro where you can take a refreshing dive. Before diving in, makes sure you are not heading towards a dolphin, because this is the place where they gather. If you can’t photograph them here, the next chance you get will be at your local dolphinarium…. This incredible experience is followed by lunch at the local speciality restaurant Lampião at the end of the quiet but friendly village street of Praia da Pipa, where you can discuss at leisure everything you have experienced so far and prepare for the return journey in mid-afternoon. At the end of the day after a wonderful bus journey inland, you arrive safely back at your hotel in Natal.
